A true story
An IITian, in 1970's he went to US to do his MBA, was among toppers and lead a king type life after MBA, before some gujju startup company offerd him CEO position in the company....he acepted, came back and joined....3 months after that, the people who promised funding of the company, were arrested in US as fraud....! The gujju in India, who was Harvard passout, however, said they will take a loan and proceed. HQ was in mumbai and company was being set up in Ahmedabad...so loan was taken in Ahmedabad, and since gujju was in mumbai, and company was yet in the set up phase, CEO took loan for the company in his name ..loan was of 1.3 crore (at that time!!)....2 more months...the gujju said thr is some urgency and send some 30 lac to HQ...CEO sent....again he said send some more money...he again sent 35 lac....and 1 month after that, the gujju in India was also arrested for being a fraud!! He wasnt even from Harvard!!
The CEO had taken loan on his name...he was now stuck up...he was forced to shut down construction work for the comapny...could not pay even the labourers...bank officials started pressurising for payment of laon!! Then further trouble started....Someone junior to him, to take advantage and get him removed to get promoted in his place, spread a rumourthat the CEo himself had taken the money and he was actual fraud!! Society, bank and other people abused his family so much that out of pressure, his daughter who used to be topper not only in her school but also in the whole Ahmedabad, failed her 10th exam! His wife started believing that he was the cause of all trouble and stopped talking to him...he finally had to run away to avoid jail!!
After years of running, he decided to attempt suicide...went to the Ganges ..but met a group of 2-3 saints...they stopped him...he spent 1-2 years there...then his stressed out mind started to at least stablise!
Finally, one of his friends, who was a prof at IIM A, arranged for his to become a faculty at IIM A, as he was having educational background needed. But, because of so many years of stressed life, inspite of knowing everything, he could not utter a single word in his class, and in the very first class, he was rejected out by the students and IIM A, as per the feedback process, could not keep him as facutly even for the next class!! so, he could not continue there!!
His prof friend at IIM A, again tried for him and got him another chance for 1 single class at IIM B......this time, he could speak few things..and class was impressed....IIM B continued with him and slowly slowly he started coming back to life, but still stressed out as family was still being abused, police still behind him....he would still go and spend 15 days every month with the saints...and then in free time, would just wander on roads!!!
One fine day - he decided his biggest prob was loan...so he sold everything he had..a home at chennai, his wifes jwellery...etc etc..everything...and also took loans from companies where he had provided consultancy while teaching at IIM B !!
He paid 1 crore to the bank..and asked for some time to pay the remaining!!
Bank agreed!!
Then he started focussing on consultancy and earning more and more....while he would still think, even before taking a cup of tea, if he should take tea, or save those 2 rupees for his family!!! This was in 2003!!! for every cup of tea, he used to think more than half an hour, and half the time would decide on saving the 2 rupees rather than having a cup of tea!!
But his talent was unmantched and word of mouth of his great consultancy spread like fire...he earned a lot of money and paid all of loan!! Now he is a faculty at IIM A, has set up a consultancy company with 3 employees, his wife, his daughter and he himself!!! Now he has more than a crore of his own bank balance and ever increasing!!! His daughter again appeared for exam and topped the university in her graduation!! Life has become a full cycle for him!!
One more thing: After all this, the prof has become immune to good and bad..for him, everything is same...if theft happens in his office/home, he does not feel sad..while if his daughter tops, he does not feel happy...he just remains as calm as he usual is.....he even went to the home of the person who had spread rumours about him...and that person, on seeing him felt so guilty that even without saying a word, he started apologising...but the prof said y r u sorry? I came here to say that I have no complains gainst u or anyone!!!
Disclaimer: As heard from one of the students of the prof.

A Soul-touching dinner in Kathmandu, Nepal
Beautiful, young nepali girls come and put a teeka on your forehead and then they also serve you in a small earthern pot like "diya" a local speciality of rice made wine, called "Roksi"(Home made Nepalese Alcohol with Brandy, Orange Juice, Lemon Juice and mixed with Honey and Nepalese spices (Masala)) , which is to be taken in one shot like Taquila ...the pot is very small and still they serve it from minimum height! Food is very good....and veriety is there ...for a change, one could even enjoy so many veg items! A small speaker system is there to announce things and provide information. Then we found its the voice of Asha Bhosale singing Nepali songs!!! Quite a pleasant surprise! Nepali girls then started dancing in group...and they came one after other....one dance form was completed and then next would come!! Announcement was made about each of the form of dance....the clothing, song and other things would be changed without stopping the flow of events!! In total 6 girls were dancing...sometimes all 6, and then sometimes group of 3! The dance forms that they showed us - little bit I noted on my mobile Newari Dance
The traditional dance of Newars, inhabitants of KathmanduTHARU

The ethnic group of Terai region of Nepal, famous for their stick dance and colourful dress
CHEPPANG
People from mid-western region of NepalSHERPA
Mountain people and sherpa are best mountaineers of the world
GURUNG

Hilly region people, renowned for bravery and most of the Gurungs works in the British Gurkha's
TAMANG
Also Hilly region people and very rich in Culture and famous for the varieties of the ornaments they wear.
RESAHAM FIRIRI VERY FAMOUS FOLK SONG OF NEPAL
Then there were other forms, one very similar to Dandiya, Danu Aari Dance and folk village dance! I was informed that they keep changing the dance forms so that repeat customers do not feel bored and have something new to look forward to. In the end, they come and just do a group dance and request you to join them! thats ultimate fun!!
It was also very pleasantly surprising that one could feel that all 6 girls were enjoying the dances so very much...like it was not their work, but passion...all of them were laughing and the body language indicated that it was more than work for them!
In the end, it turned out to be a great evening! A strong recommendation for anyone going to Nepal first time! For reference, contact details are provided below,

In the mall on the friendship day!
Great sales offers were there on every store/brand and I had hard time suppressing my desires to go well beyond my budget :-) by the time I finished, it was about 4pm and I was feeling so hungry.
To those who have not been to NIrmal lifestyle mall, I think this is one of the most happening mall, full of positivity and good options. Almost all brands available and lot of good options for food. So I stated "ulta"...with Jalebi...is baarish me mall me music and play ke saath garma garam jalebi was BLISS! Then came aaloo chaat...followed by veg frankie!! yummy food made my day!
and then when I started to relax, I noticed a change! I saw a crowd which was:
- Bigger than normal week ends
- Much younger
- Many of them having something written on their body!!
While those having boy friends/girl friends were more like couples in romance...showing the cupid love in public.....others were hanging out in groups. One could see mixed groups (boys or girls) or only girls group. No boys only group.
Most of the girls were bearing tops, which were revealing more skin than usually one wud find in mumbai. However, the reason was apparent. College going ppl generally write something on their friends body on this day. So every one was busy writing something on the body of the girls in their group, and since so many of them were writing, hence such dress (learnings from previous years experiences may be :-)
One thing was surprising though....in that case, y boys were not wearing such body revealing clothes..after all friends were writing on their bodies too. Any guesses???
Finally got a call from singapore ...a friend saying happy friendship day to me! I was happy :-)
So here I am, telling u back, my experience in the mall, on the friendship day!!

Kadam ka ped.....for Maa!
Just enjoy the emotions behind these lines
KADAMB KA PED
Yeh kadamb ka ped agar maa, hota yamuna teere,
Main bhi us par baith kanhiya, banta dheere, dheere...
Le deti yadi bansuri ,tum do paise wali,
Kisi tarah neeche ho jati ye kadamb ki dali,
Tumhein nahi kuch kehta, par main, chupke chupke aata,
Us neechi dali se amma, unche pe chad jata....
Wahin baith phir ,bade maje se, main bansuri bajata,
Amma amma keh tumhein bansi ke, swar mein bulata....
Sun meri bansi ko maa tum itni, khush ho jati,
Mujhe dekhne kaam chor kar, tum bahar tak aati....
Tumko aata dekh bansuri rakh , main chup ho jata,
Patton mein chipkar dheere se, phir bansuri bajata...
Gusse hokar mujhe danti kehti, "neeche aaja",
Par jab main na utarta, hans kar kehti, "munna raja"....
Neeche utro mere beta ,tumhein mithai dungi,
Naye khilone,makhan,misri, dhoodh malai dungi...
Main hans kar sabe upaar ki tehni , par chad jata,
Ek baar "maa" keh patton mein wahin, kahin chip jata...
Bahut bulane par bhi "maa", jab main na utar kar aata,
Tab "maa" tumhara hariday, bahut vikal ho jata...
Tum aanchal pasar kar maa wahin ped ke neeche,
Eeshwar se kuch vinti karti, baithi aankhein meechey.....
Tumhein dhyan mein lagi dekh, main dheere dheere aata,
Aur tumhare faile aanchal mein, aakar chip jata...
Tum ghabra kar aankh kholti, phir bhi khush ho jati,
Jab apne "munne raja" ko, apni godi mein hi pati....
Isi tarah kuch khela karte, hum tum dheere dheere,
"maa" kadamb ka ped agar, ye hota yamuna teere.......

Murali...dharan!
Muralidharan, a living legend retired from test cricket!! Well, what he has achieved makes him like lord Krishna of test cricket bowling!! Well, all know his accomplishments, and the problems he faced all along, including injuries, operations, chucking allegations, ICC test on his action etc etc...the list goes on.
But I was so pleasantly wondering over the grand last test he had, as if someone up there specially wrote the farewell script. Batting like he rarely did, he put his team total to a score, which became very difficult to achieve for India. then, getting sachin tendulkar to start with, and then go on to get another five wicket haul...!! And then end it up with 800 wickets, with 10 wicket win in the test, and few other records like maximum no of caught and bowled by specific player combo, maximum no of wickets against India, getting 40% of total no of test wickets ever taken by Sri Lanka(one needs to give it a thought to understand the enormity of the achievement!!)....I think, it could not have been better!
What I admire even more is, his decision to quit..he cud clearly have played more...and contributed....but then few legends have the capability to realise when to say it quits. McGraw did it just after winning the world cup...and I think Murali is following the right thing..quitting, when he is a king..not waiting till he becomes liability to carry for the team!
Bow to u legend!

FIFA world cup!
Well...I have been thinking which teams shall make it to final/semi final this time? Personally, two teams that I like to cheer for are Brazil and Argentina! But then by the time I have started writing this, Brazil has already been out of the game only less than 2 hr back! So, which other teams can be expected to be there...
I think, between Argentina and Germany, whichever teams win, shall reach the finals...and the other team has the potential to reach final is Spain!! While the Indian junta has in general followed teams like Argentina, Brazil and Germany....Spain is not much talked about here..but going by the beautiful game they have been playing...its simply riveting and fascinating! The beautiful, sharp precise passes, the zeal to keep the possession, Xavi making those beautiful almost magical moves and Villa striking phenomenal goals one after other......they are sure increasing their fan following in India after each game! Not only this, what also deserves mentioning here is they are the only team which has not got even a single yellow card! they play beautifully and they play fairly!! and even then, they have been the only team that scored against Portugal. Shows, they have it in them to score against even the best of defense in the world!
So here I am, predicting (in fact I should be using the word wishing) that it would be either Argentina vs Spain or Germany vs Spain in semi final and netherland being the team from other group in final!
Lets see...how close I was :-) Best wishes to me!!

An evening at Amols home!
But on sunday, got to hear a surprise from Nishi...and then after more than 2 hours of facing ardous mumbai traffic...I was at Amols home!! All others had already arrived, waiting for me...so the moment I arrived, a longggggggg session of food started....items after items came..and we ate like anything..Mamta ensured that we had more than enough of each and every item!
Meanwhile, priyanka kept dancing and we kept enjoying! Saw Nishi's son for the first time...he is so cute!
Among the gappe sappe, and update on latest happenings in lombard, Nupur's plan to visit anna ki tapari is almost finalized...and then, we awaited for bachcha to arrive on his bullet!!
At thsi moment, anything is incomplete without FIFA world cup...and the moment match started, we got lost in it so much that all females left to other room!! Finallt, when we left, the LIFT had some other adventure planned for us :-) It got stuck and after full 10-12 minutes of trail, we could open the door!!
But all in al...great evening spent together...I wish, we meet more often..and probably, next time, at some outside place so that all can mingle equally without worrying to serve the guests!
Best wishes, Mamta and Amol!

V Anand
Anad's long spotless career has been inspirational to say the least..with all possible success and 4 times world championship....If one were to ask me, I would rate him the no 1 deserving sports person to be given Bharat Ratan....! Sadly, een on that day, media preferred to cover more about our loss(!!) in ckt match rather than give him much deserved accolades!
Cheers Anand! To me, you are right there at the top of all time sports person from any country!! a timeless humble wonder !!

Watching God!
I have been thinking that when next gen will ask, how the legends like Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Kumble used to play, what would I tell? That I didnt see them play ever live in stadium? So - decided to go for watching few matches!
First attempt was - India Australia last year, but then it rained so much, that too unseasonal, that the match got canceled! We didnt even bother to go to stadium.
So - finally - got the opportunity to watch a ckt match live in Braborn stadium - Mumbai Indians vs Kings 11!
The energy in the stadium was amazing..the moment we entered...it felt like fun has started :-) the stadium is small and so the view was great! Kings 11 started and it was our good luck that Sachin - the GOD was fielding on our side for significant amount of time! We could see him so closely :-) and one has to be in the stadium to see and feel how much public loves Sachin !
As the match progressed, we had lots of fun...I wont comment on what happened in the match...most of you would have anyways watched IPL...! It was an exciting match..had great fun...only possible thing that could have bettered our experience was if Sachin would have played longer - he got out soon.
But - before that, Yuvraj had to face the brunt of the crowd. Sachin started for a run and Yuvi, the good fielder he is, tried to run him out. Sachin reached safely. But, even when Yuvraj himself is so popular, and is an icon player.....where-ever in the field he went...the crowd kept chanting "Yuvi Sucks!"...he was booed so much that at least 5-6 times his position in field was changed - but to no benefit. Till the end of the match - Yuvi was booed by almost all in the stadium for making the attempt to run GOD out :-)
Now, Next target is to watch my fav - RCB! Need to see Dravid and Kumble - two legends that I have always respected!

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik - A Possible Bollywood Story!
Her first engagement broke down. Nothing unusual about it, till, very shortly (in fact within 3 months) she announced her intention to marry Shoaib Malik, the Pakistani cricket team batsman! And now the unfolding saga threw certain uncomfortable, but worth pondering questions in my mind.
To start with, the reason given was she did not find Sohrab a fit for herself. Initially, it looked perfectly OK, but now given the less than 3 months timeframe to announce her love and marriage with Shoaib, it seems, the reason for breaking up engagement must have been her love affair with Shoaib, rather than anything else. Please note that she says that she has known him for 5-6 years! Its not the case that she just met him in last 3 months and love happened at first sight!
Having gone through a similar stage myself, I can now understand how bad it would have been for Sohrab! And, if this is true, then how would Sania justify bringing this stigma and emotional pain to Shorab? I think, if she loved someone – she should not have got enageged to another one! That’s simply unfair!
Now – post announcement of marriage plans with Shoaib, there has been enough twists and turns in the script that it can be made into a bollywood movie – something like “Ek ruka hua faisla” or….”Adalat (old – Rajendra Kumar, Ashok Kumar one)” wherein no one knows what’s going to come out next, who is telling the truth and what is morally correct.
Read the sequence of events:
• Marriage is announced
• Media creates hype around expected celebrity marriage
• Story of Shoaib possibly already married start coming out
• Shoaib and family deny this
• Aayesh Siddiqui and family from Hyderabad come out in open to claim that Shoaib is married to Aayesha
• Shoaib & family deny this. Claim they were cheated and Shoaib got enagaged but not married. Cheating was done by showing photograph of another girl.
• Aayesha and family come to TV to clarify their stand and give enough common sense proof that probably they actually got married.
• Aayesha and family tell that nikah happened on phone (I heard something like this for the first time). TV channels call Kazi’s to ask if it can be called a marriage. Some say yes, others say no.
• Brother in law of Shoaib still denies nikah. Shoaib says he never met Aayesha in his life.
• Nikahnama is shown on TV! Pakistani and India kazi’s and legal expert view opinion on if it was valid.
• Name on Nikahnama is Maha, not Aayesha. Aayesha says in her passport, her name is Maha.
• Suddenly, Shoaib is reported to be in India. Now, he says Nikah happened, but was on phone, and was with a girl which was not the one whose photograph was sent to him. Releases written statement. Remains silent on if he met Aayesha.
• Aayesha Siddiqui releases photographs of the two of them together. (It is yet to be verified if it is an authentic photograph!)
• Aayesha and Family file an FIR against Shoaib in Banjara Hills police station.
• Later on, they claim Shoaib offered them 1 million (dollar or INR, I don’t know!) to withdraw the case.
• Meanwhile, TV channels show two clippings – one in a match in Hyderabad, where Shoaib won Man of the match award. It is shows that hyderabadis are chanting “Aayesha, Aayesha” and Shaoib saying he is happy that he got the man of the match in his wife’s city. 2nd is on Geo Tv of Pakistan, wherein he mentions he is married to Hyderabadi girl who works in Jeddah.
Few…..even the bulleted points story is so long!! Its yet to come out in open who is right or who is wrong. But, rather than taking diplomatic stand, I will tell you what my feeling out of this whole episode is. I feel , Aayesha and family is right. No same person, that too a celebrity would marry someone from another country without ever meeting once. Even if one would like to do so, after marriage at least one would meet. Then, if you are true, you would not need to change your version of story. However, Shoaib and family’s version has been changing (sometimes saying married, sometimes, only engaged, someone saying she is cousin of actual girl whose photo was sent, someone saying she is maasi of the girl…!...and so on). Also, no girl and her family would like to take a reputation risk of similar nature if they do not feel they are having the proof. They have already gone to the police. And now the allegation of being offered money to take back the FIR. Also, who will marry someone from another country without meeting him/her, and at least after wedding, they would meet. Shoaib version of not meeting her till date sounds illogical. Plus, the hyderabadi crowd chanting "Aayesha Aayesha" also means a significant no of ppl knew about the marriage way back. Given all this, and the body language of Aayesha, when she was being interviewed on TV, I believe, she is telling the truth about marriage. Only time will tell, if my intuition and belief was right!

Kanha ki Anokhi Smile!
but he faced a dilemma it seems :-)recently, he was not feeling well, and so was not willing to open hi mouth when Bhabhi was trying to give him some food ...but at the same time, I was paying with him and so he wanted to laugh out loud :-) poor boy, kept his lips tightly closed and was still trying to laugh out loud, with complete confused look all over his face as how to manage the same :-) it was so funny and innocent, both bhabhi and me were enjoying it like anything!! I missed my camera so badly at that moment !!
Absence of a month!
Well, reason is simple - generally, on weekdays, one does not gets time. But then there have been at least 3 long week ends (of at least 3 days each) in last 5 weeks. So what have I been doing?
First, I went to Ahmedabad to spend time with Kuhu and Kanha. Then I came back, but again needed to go back since bhaiya got it and there was no one to look after him. Bhabhi had gone to Patna. So I was back in ahmedabad again.
Once I came back, I went to Gaya, on a weeks leave, and came back from there only last week end.
So here I am, writing at the first opportunity that I have got!

Mumbai Marathon! - The experience of running 21 km!
So…the D-Day came…and I planned to sleep early to make sure I give enough rest to my body. However, as it happened to all plans of training or practicing etc, which never got executed even for a single day ..this too went for a toss and I ended up talking to family ppl till late in the night :-)
Slept at around 1:30am..and got up at 4:30am! Took a bag with basic items needed and reached dadar. There I needed to change train and I found out that at 5:30am in the morning the queue for the ticket for tooooo long. I was supposed to reach by 6am and I would not have reached before 7am if I got to that line. I thought of using coupon counter..but that was closed at that hour. Then I thought of asking for some other using the coupon and pay them…but then I found out there was no chute with me :-) he he he…so I was stranded !! finally, got into train without ticket….thinking I would have to pay to the TT. But got to the ground safely and in time.
I was greeted there by my
I also saw a full sunrise first time in mumbai in 5 yr J he he..otherwise either u never wake up in time or u can only see high rises :-) and it was very soothing to see the beautiful sunrise!
Last years experience had taught me to keep myself hydrated and energized…so chocolates which I carried were very helpful….and I kept taking few gulps of water at regular intervals! At approximately 14 kms of continuous running….my legs stopped cooperating! Not a single day practice …I was expecting lot of breathing problems etc…but not this. I managed possible breathing troubles by keeping my speed low..but legs?? What do I do…so came the phase of running and walking…last 3 km were very painful…I literally walked only.
Later on I realized that out of total 2 hr 37 min, I completed 18 km in approx 1 hr 50 min and last 3 km took me another 47 min!! my god..my timing could have been so much better!
Finally we finished…enjoying the whole atmosphere…as usual..mumbai junta was out to cheer us and help us which, to me, is the best part of this whole episode. Everyone was there to cheer, help, in any which way possible.
Once I reached Final destination…I saw some celebs…though I didn’t notice many others…! There, two of my colleagues had already arrived….I guess I was either 3rd or 4th in my company to finish ! not bad…given that I didn’t practice at all and still managed to improve on my last yr time by approx 30 min! So tired were we….that we simply sat and had our refreshments! We didn’t even check where the stall of our company was. After half an hr we thought of calling stall ppl…and then I realized I had thrown the paper with details before we started :-
) anyways we found that! Most were seen using pain relief spray, though I avoided it ! We enjoyed…..took snaps….chatted…congratulated each other..and then left. So tired was I that I didn’t even go to collect my baggage from baggage counter ! he he …:-)

Shahrukh, Shahid and Genelia !
I have been in mumbai for 5 yrs now....i get chance to meet so many celebrities..lekin kabhi maine try nahi kiya. Agar mauka mila to 4 logon se milna chahunga....Amitabh,Amir, Sachin and Rahul dravid! thats it. so...baaki logon ka chance nahi aata :-) this also means I generally dont get to see any star/celebrity, since i dont try at al.
I was in delhi on 11th and I got a bit late in arriving at airport...so I was among the last few who boarded the bus from terminal to the flight. Suddenly I saw Shahid kapoor coming near to our bus...boarding a separate bus. Both buses went together...I saw 2-3 girls with her and some other people.
Once in...he was standing (face our side) almost within 10 ft distance from my seat (i was in front row economy and he in business class). Khair...he changed his dress (i dont know why..he anyways was in caulas.there was no need to change to another casual). He appeared very short ..may be 5 ft 4 inches...not more than that!!
When we reached mumbai....airhostesses made sure that he went down first and after few seconds we were allowed to go down. However, he was still there, waiting for someone. Its then I realised that one of the girls with him was Genelia!! he he...itne time tak usko dekhane ke chakkar me kisi ne heroine ko notice hi nahi kiya...reel life me hi nahi...real life me bhi heorine ka role chhota ho gaya :-)
Anyways....so he left, while we waited for our bus to get full. When we reached the terminal...there again, both of them were waiting...for baggage this time.....I stopped for few seconds and then proceeded to exit.
Suddenly I heard screams outside....I was surprised...Shahid and Genelia were inside terminal...then why screaming from outside....and then I saw the reason....Shahrukh Khan was there!! Standing!! Near his BMW !! he he....before any girl could reach him...he quickly got inside the car. Waited inside for few minutes.....and then the car left.
When i went near old rickshaw stop...i found it has been shifted and now only private vehicles are allowed there. Even before I could see where the new rickshaw stand was, I realised something was different...and I found that i was accidently standing next to Shahid Kapoor's vehicle - a range rover !! and then came Shahid! Genelia also sat in the front seat only and they drove away.
Differences: Shahrukh was in white color vehicle, Shahids was black. Shahrukh sat at backseat, Shahid told driver to go back and drove himself!!
I finally got my auto and headed to my home. Suddenly, the driver got a call, and he stopped at the roadside....to my surprise, Shahid's vehicle was still there....he has driven away from the airport but stopped after 1 km, at a lonely place....and I could see him in the vehicle :-)
I could not stop myself from smiling. From not going to see a celebrity even once, even when someone came near my home...to automatically meeting 3 big celebs in one evening, without any fight, and that too so many times.....!! The result is this blog :-)
Mumbai Marathon - Once more!
Last year, after I finished half marathon, I decided I shall never run again. After all why to bear so much of pain? But then I realized, that the experience was unique....especially the way all of mumbai comes along the route to cheer u up and help you up in any way they can...from kids to housewives to old ppl, everyone is there on both side of the road along the full route.....its seriously amazing to see the spirit of true mumbai! SO, here I am...running again!
However, I have not yet practiced even 1 single day....just hoping that god gives me the spirit to run and complete! I heard in dance india dance "Aadmi nahi chalta, CHAH chalti hai"..and i do have that chah :-)
And what should be the cause which I should support? There can be many...but I finally choose two:
1. Conserve water (given situation in mumbai, almost all mumbaikars shall agree to it)
2. Hygiene - Remember H1N1? only way we can control it is by maintaining and following proper hygienic processes!
Those who can, should definitely come and see and enjoy the experience..its fun, its energy, its motivation, its determination, its about showing to the world...its abt caring..its abt sharing...!!
Happy running to me and all :-)

Kuhu and Kanha !
Well, I am in the flight to
Kanha is now evolving to be a smart kid, one who enjoys, smiles and never cries! He has started to move sometimes on his knees, otherwise he has now become an expert in moving by using his hand to drag his body forward J and when ever he is happy, he starts moving both his leg simultaneously with joy……..bhabhi will vouch that no matter what she does and how much she takes care, ultimately Kanha succeeds in making sure that his bowl of food is always striked either by his hand or his legs J today monrning too, he did the same, and on the spur of the moment, bhabhi shouted because food was getting on the bedsheet ! Kanha bhabhi ki aawaz se dar
Kuhu is well ahead of kids of her age…..but the problem is that she uses this smartness to make sure ki bhaiya aur bhabhi, dono hi ko pareshaan kar ke rakhti hai….Us akele ke liye minimum 2 log chahiye hote hain care karne ke liye….and then, she is an attention seeker…so when she feels she is not getting attention, she does things like switching off lights, going and standing in front of TV taaki sab use dekhen, TV nahi dekh payeen…and things like that!
Kanha ke naane ke baad, being a kid she is, sometimes use lagta hai ki uske papa mummy use nahi dekh rahe….so she tries even harder!!
And Yes….abhi se hi…dono, kanha and kuhu are getting attached to IIM A…kanha IIM A ke tags se khoob khelta hai..and Kuhu, IIM A ki parties me khoob dance karti hai J
God bless them both (and there by us)...all the happiness in the world!

A day in Baroda!
The journey from ahmedabad to baroda was quite enjoying...car going smoothly at above 100km/hr speed consistently on the expressway! I reached Baroda by 3:15pm. First we went to meet a client - a lady working for the trust managing the museum of Maharaja Gaekwad!
Gaekwads were considered among the riches among even the kings!! and the wealth was on display there! To say it was Awesome and Midddblowwiing wud be just the beginning! With larger than life paintings done was Raja and likes from Germany and England, sculptures from India, Japan and china, Vas from diff countries, Art work done completely on Elephant teeth, sofas made completely of glass and such things coming to us one by one...we were amazed to levels not known earlier! Some amazing things that we noticed:
1. two diff paintings, in which a warrior was riding a horse, were hanged on wall facing each other. no mater from where u watch them, u will find the horses directly looking into your eyes!!
2. A complete bed made just of elephant teeth only!! and the art work done on it - simpley mindddblowing!! Incredible!
3. Painting..in which at the center, a road passes to a valley. No matter from where you see - the road looks like coming directly from you and entering the valley. Even if one starts from one end of the painting and goes directly oppise, still, the effect is clearly visible.
4. Sofa - made of complete glass. One wonders how wud they have made such equisite pieces in that age!
5. Vases - so many types, sizes, from diff countries and of such diff material - very diff to explain here. I dont have words.
6. True to life sculptures.
7. A painting - it was exactly same as the one which was made in the movie Titanic! only the diamond was missing. Diff is that it was made at least 100 yr ago!
Other than this - this musuem was the school in which Gaekwad family members studied. Now it has been converted to museum. The palace campus is so huge that now after donating part of it to govt, still they have museum, golf club, palace, a whole range of army weapon store, cricket ground and what not within the campus!!! No wonder, there used to be a real life small train run to carry the Gaekwad family kids from school to palace both of which were within same campus!!! he he...a train to run within campus, that too 100 yr ago!! WOW!!
From there we went to meet another client. He is an avid coin collector and has created India's only coin museum - Mudra Coin Museum. We could not believe our eyes when we saw the variety of coins collected by one single man!!
We saw coins which were used 2600 years ago!! yes u read it right...it was 543BC ...and some were even older than that! some were such that if someone does not explain u its a coin, u will throw it just like that! we even saw samples of things that were used before coins were used....things like "kaudi" , "moti", "specific types of feathers of birds" etc. We even saw pictures when south african ppl used cocks (murga) as coins!!!
we saw coins that we used to use when we were less than 5 yr old! and we saw coins which were not so old, like being used in 1973, but we never ever saw them!!!
Well it was fun..and great experience...never thought client experince wud lead to such an amazing experience....!! I stringly recommend everyone to at least go to Gaekwad's museum!

Ruchika, her frnd and the indian system!
Hope, everyone of u enjoyed the new year celebrations!
Firth thing first - this blog is not for updates on Ruchika's case! anyone who is interested/curious, already knows this case in and out.
This is just to put some of the points that came out as deductions when I thought over it!
1. I thought I knew (and other in India too), how system works here and also how it favors the powerful/influential ones. But this case, has far surpassed my expectations of the system. I didnt know of any case where so much of brutual force was used, brazenly, in open society and no-one did anything!!! That too for sooooo long a period. Even when no one was doing anything, any normal sane human will himself will leave the victims ..no one can sustain anger against helpless ppl for so long. But, I guess, thr r ppl who break records...and the accused here is one of them. Such brazen, brutual use of force is unthinkable by any humanitarian standard, or even indian system standard.
2. I take a bow out of respect for Ruchika's frnd - for not only being fearless, but also for being persistent to ensure she gets justice! delaying her own marraige for 5 years, and even after that - coming back from outside india for every case hearing, is something not even own family members would do most of the time. This is what one calls true frndship! I seriously respect her for her determination also! Take a bow lady!
3. Role of Media - sometimes I have felt that media is becoming too invasive and irritable. However, cases like this makes one feel that even when it has many demerits to list to have such an invasive media - its the only possible tool a common man can use to get justice in high profile cases, be it - Jesica, Ruchika or anyone else.
4. There are changes proposed in Indian laws to ensure that such cases do not repeat. However, there is no dearth of laws in India. What is missing is its implementation. Even after 19 years - the FIR is now filed, school is being asked to explain expulsion of Ruchika and CBI officers being questioned on why they did not do true justice to their role. So, even if the law is changed - who and how will it be ensured that those laws are implemented properly? Police reforms and independence from Political interference is a bare minimum must to have!
5. To all those criminals - this is an example that no matter how sure u r that u will manage and escape, once u do the crime, u pay for it....sooner or later! so think , before u commit something wrong!
