I was so happy when I heard V Anand's world championship news....to do it in last round, against someone known for winning last round matches....and that too with black pieces....it was awesome!
Anad's long spotless career has been inspirational to say the least..with all possible success and 4 times world championship....If one were to ask me, I would rate him the no 1 deserving sports person to be given Bharat Ratan....! Sadly, een on that day, media preferred to cover more about our loss(!!) in ckt match rather than give him much deserved accolades!
Cheers Anand! To me, you are right there at the top of all time sports person from any country!! a timeless humble wonder !!
